How will a difference happen

In this position, you will have the opportunity to ensure the work of GFI within the law and in parallel with the Code of His Conduct, while training employees through legal risks and helping to design activities compatible with the task. the General Adviser He will be responsible for:

• Supervising the legal guidance in GFI and supervising the Assistant General Adviser. Managing both strategic advisory responsibilities and daily tasks of the legal management of two, including but not limited to contract reviews, file management, and budget control.
• Providing advice to the CEO, the president, the founder and the board of directors on the legal risks of GFI through American and international contexts and to help leadership to alleviate the risks as an element in increasing the impact of the public.
• Ensuring non -profit compliance, including corporate governance, compliance with charitable contact, commercial participations, international grants, pressure, and special benefits considerations, with the application of a risk -based practical lens in line with the GFI mission.
• Providing direct legal support to the Cooperative Assistance Team (CAT), Development, and executive departments, including providing advice to people (within CAT) in the questions or issues of the federal and multi -stage employment law, local and international, review policy and employee training offers.
• Management of issuing and compliance with them. Providing advice on legal considerations related to the work of international subsidiaries of GFI, especially regarding the collection of donations, brands and affiliated agreements, and encouraging consultation with the local legal advisor as necessary.
• Provide legal advice on the various software of GFI to support the assistant general advisor, as well as companies and business issues (for example, employment, pressure, data protection, and intellectual property).
• Served as a secretary of the Board of Directors of GFI’s and Good Food Chrimentation Fund, and advising for governance councils, conflicts and other issues as required.
• Being an active and active member of the GFI leadership team and providing leadership leadership via the GFI, focusing on cultivating confidence, transparency and honor in legal guidance.
• Developing and maintaining close professional work relationships with an external lawyer, including supporters of supporters.

Who are we looking for

Perfect candid General Adviser The situation will have experience that reflects the following:

• At least ten years of experience as practicing lawyer, with a previous internal lawyer experience at the first level required.
• An active license in a good position of law in any state or province of Colombia. The Law Doctor’s degree (JD) is preferred from the accredited law school.
• Previous experience providing legal advice to leadership and the board of directors in legal complex cases, compliance and governance as a component to increase the impact of the public.
• Experience in law, non -profit compliance, corporate governance, contracts, employment law, and risk management showed.
• Previous supervision experience in guidance and training and developing at least one direct report.
• Legal experience internationally and/or with favorite international subsidiaries.
