Researcher Assistant (fixed period) at Cambridge University

18 months is a fixed period for the start of December 2025, full time from Monday to Friday

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced researcher assistant to join an innovative and joint initiative aimed at making mental health data more coordinated, accessible, understandable, and beneficial to researchers, doctors, industry, and living persons. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including data engineers, doctors, software developers and live experience experts to:

  • The scope and merge new data collections into a new web interface, focusing on the OMics related to mental health and real world data.
  • Contribute to strengthening the open targets platform to better provide omics data related to psychiatry and make it accessible to diverse users.
  • Cooperation with live people with live experience to participate in the development of “second skin” that can be accessed for the interface, ensuring the ability to use and inclusively.
  • Help in analyzing data, including extensive data collections format and exploring biological and environmental associations.
  • Contributing to academic outputs, including manuscripts for magazines and presentations that the pendants reviewed in conferences.

This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in:

  • Jinome functional and psychological epidemics
  • Clinical informatics and data coordination
  • Methods of joint production and participatory research
  • Working within the UK data infrastructure initiative at the level of

Its headquarters in the Psychiatry department will be on the Cambridge Cambridge of Biological Medicine and will be part of the new dynamic Cambridge Oxford Laboratory, led by Dr. Mary Eilen Lynal, with access to training courses, seminars and guidance opportunities. You will also work closely with the team of Dr. Ellen McDona at the European Biological Information Institute.

You must have organizational skills and strong contact, experience working with data in R or Python, medical certificate, experience in functional genetic analyzes, experience working with people with experience living in a clinical or research context.
