Call to Applications (short version)

Within a doctoral school at the University of Bukoni, a 4 -year doctorate program in statistics and computer science is a high -level doctoral program and provides students with strong statistical, accounting and sports background.

The program includes curricula: statistics and computer science. Candidates may be applied to either one curriculum or both the curriculum.

The first year includes both joint courses and special curricula that are mandatory for all registered doctorate students. This provides a wide range of theoretical, methodological and calculating skills necessary to research the chosen curriculum. The second year has specialized courses on advanced research topics for students in statistics curricula and reading groups for students in the computer science curriculum. Students receive allocated guidance throughout their period in Bocconi.

The college includes prominent internationally recognized researchers in statistics, computer science, machine learning, possibility and statistical physics. The program also benefits from the contributions of the distinguished visiting professors who offer short mono courses.

The doctorate is designed in statistics and computer science for students with a high motivation who aims to follow the first -class research functions in the academic circles and research and industry institutes. Job opportunities also extend to central banks, financial institutions, government agencies, international organizations and public health institutions.

Qualifying students are highly qualified and motivated by a master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, physics, engineering or other areas destined quantitatively to apply for admission.

Applications can be submitted by candidates for any nationality:

• Complete or complete their higher studies
• You have at least the B2 level (CEFR)

To obtain a doctorate in statistics and computer science, a doctoral school provides:

• A maximum of 12 places with a fully funded fellowship by the TECHUPE FOUNDATION (TEF) (6 for curricula in statistics and 6 for curricula in computer science);
• 2 places with a waiver of the tuition based on merit covering up to 100 % of the tuition fees
• 2 places with the payment of tuition fees

The tuition fees for students who do not have a fellowship or a waiver of tuition fees are 15,000 euros for the year 1, 2 and 5,000 euros for the year 3 and 4.

At least 60 points out of 100 are required to be eligible for admission to the program.
