About this team and the role:

The performance tools team builds frames and tools that help engineers to measure performance and improve performance through Mozilla products. We are a team distributed in North America and Europe, and supports both the internal Mozilla engineers and the broader web developer community through tools such as Firefox Profiler.

In this role, you will be responsible for the low -level programming of Firefox Profiler and other tools. Your focus on providing an effective tool for Firefox developers will be looking to track and seize every opportunity to improve the quality of experience for our users. You will work closely with performance experts to determine the most valuable measurements across a variety of platforms.

What will you do:

• Develop new features for Firefox Profiler that will provide browser engineers and web developers with an insightful look to improve its user experience.
• Expand the data of Firefox Profiler without compromising performance.
• Communicate with the efforts of the performance team, such as sorting errors and strategy.
• Deal with other Firefox engineers to help them learn how to use our tools efficiently, and develop projects to better serve them.
• Promote and encourage the use of our performance tools inside and outside mozilla by writing and talking about it.
• Communicate with our society and the volunteer teacher who contribute to the base of the code.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering systems using C ++.
• 1+ Year of experience in rust.
• Experience in at least one of the following operating system and familiarity applications with others: Windows/Linux/MacOS/Android.
• Experience in work, correcting large multi -thread applications and memory management.
• Strong and respected communication skills and the ability to cooperate through engineering teams.
• The familiarity with any of the following skills will be an additional feature: Javascript, Java, Android Development and Python.
