About this team and the role:

The Mozilla Firefox team is a community of engineers who are deeply interested in serving the fastest possible browser. We are the team responsible for making all parts of the browser walk quickly.

Our team is geographically distributed, and working in the open is the base. We contribute to the code that leads Firefox browser on a number of platforms – Windows, Android, Linux and MacOS. Our focus is on finding things that slow down and install them as well as help the other teams write a fast and reliable symbol to make Firefox excellent for users.

What will you do:

• Write software instructions and tests, build initial models, address problems, profile and analyze performance bottlenecks
• Learn a wide range of problems and solutions through a large mature code base (for example: What can slow things up when you have an old code that speaks to a new symbol and what can we do about it?)
• Use many programming languages ​​(for example, C ++, Javascript, Kotlin, RUST, Python) and techniques to fix performance problems, focus on C ++
• Help educate engineers on other teams about writing more performance code through code reviews, conversations, and/or writing documents
• Work with the paid team members and a commitment to help bring the open network to millions of people

What you will bring:

• 5 years experience as software engineer
• A strong understanding and a strong work experience in C ++
• Experience of developing important programs for performance
• An installed experience following an experimental and scale approach to solving problems (measurement, and using experiments to diagnose a problem or proof of a solution)
