Lecturer/Lecturer in Sharia Psychology at Bath Spa University

Location: Bath, Somersist – Newton Park

We are currently looking for a great lecturer/lecturer in criminal psychology to join our dedicated team and commitment to the University of Bath Spa, College of Science.

About the role

Bath Spa University, based on its recent successes, is expanding to widespread areas of health. We are especially keen to recruit a person who can contribute to these exciting, multidisciplinary and new endeavors. The field of psychology is known within the College of Science, with a hub to apply psychology to improve people’s lives in the local community; We are looking for a new lecturer/great lecturer to join us in supporting this task. The person we recruit will be able to work well with the industry while he is also able to successfully introduce his experiences to the semester. We specifically recruit a person who can contribute Psychology, investigation, criminal, and/or forensic medicine Widely and may have some practice -based experience. They will be able to teach professional and therapeutic skills.

The successful candidate will help designing and connecting the teaching content through a group of stereotypes at 4 to 6 levels in psychology programs, as well as contributing to planning curricula and development, and participating in research or scientific activity in psychology. They will have the opportunity to develop new courses and help direct the teaching focus and research in psychology at Bath Spa University. They will also participate in related research and scientific activity to support the university’s research strategy, to inform and enhance the design of the curriculum and improve the student experience. In addition, colleagues will supervise or direct them with less experience and advise them on personal development.

About you

  • A degree approved by BPS in psychology or doctorate
  • A recent and successful experience in university teaching in the well -known basic fields between BPS
  • Excellent information and communication technology skills including e -learning tools.
  • Practical knowledge of forensic science, investigation and/or criminal psychology.
  • Teaching experience and/or leadership of university units that cover the fields of psychology that complement and/or extend our current university unit.
  • Experience based on practice in the field of psychology investigation, forensic medicine, and/or criminal psychology.
  • A busy record or clear capabilities in psychology, professional practice and / or scholarships are proportional to the functional stage.

Additional information

The salary range shows the possible maximum wage in addition to any annual inflationary increase in your salary. Please note that our virtual position is to be appointed to the minimum range of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

  • Applicants who have less than five years of experience in teaching in higher education will be asked for at least 0.8 FTE or the equivalent of those who do not have education and learning in a higher education certificate approved by the Higher Education Academy or Hea to complete the graduate studies certificate approved in the Higher Education course during the first two years of employment.
  • Applicants who have more than five years of experience in teaching in higher education will be asked for at least 0.8fte or the equivalent of those who do not have education and learning in a higher education certificate approved by the Higher Education Academy or Hea to adopt their practice through the process of submitting HEA Fellowship requests during the test period for a period of 6 months.
