Duties of position
This position is responsible for activities related to the treatment of appeals submitted to the Workers’ Compensation Committee in accordance with COMAR 14.09.11 (A) (B) (C). Coordination management is coordinated. It explains the orders of the court and the judicial review to ensure the treatment of documents in a timely manner according to COMAR 14.09.11 (A) and 14.09.11.3.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- It receives and determines the priorities and interprets the scanned appeal correspondence in COMPHUB, received from the courts of the department from 24 judicial states, the Court of Appeal and the Maryland’s Supreme Court.
- It guarantees the treatment and disposal of documents according to COMAR 14.09.11.01. It addresses the workflow in the incoming mail by issuing a compliance certificate, notifying the appeal documents and submitting a timely manner to the court correspondents. Review the orders of court requests and agenda entries.
- He reviews the complex documents and demands to determine the status of the appeals, verify the identity of the applicant and the other concerned parties and take the appropriate action accordingly.
- It is compatible with all the policies of the Workers’ Compensation Committee, its regulations and the laws of the state related to the appeals.
- According to Maryland 7-206, it prepares cases of cases for the judicial review process, and provides a timely manner for the court editor regarding the appeal to ensure timely processing texts, and prepare the record to refer it to the court court when needed.
- It uses an independent judgment while adhering to the applicable regulations and procedures.
- He answers the questions of the public or internal workers regarding the appeals and takes any necessary measures.
- Comphub users help how to provide any necessary documents.
- The parties deposited are recommended for any differences in their files.
- Make sure to direct the required documents properly and in time to other sections to take the necessary measures.
- The Judicial and Comprub site is looking for the numbers of claims related to the receiving correspondence that does not contain the necessary claim number to ensure that the document is scanned in the appropriate claim.
- Conducting any necessary corrections in Comphub due to changing place, error/error, uniform claims, etc. It consults with supervision and management regarding directions.
- It prepares statistics to prepare monthly / annual reports. It suggests recommendations to improve operations.
- It prepares and processes the basic legal orders/orders from the documents submitted in Comphub (i.e. the broken amount, progress, change of place, conditions, settlements, etc.).
- In the event of an assistant, the Commissioner’s office covers the office, which includes responding to phone calls, assisting the Commissioner in the questions related to the duty, preparing group calls, sending updated cases papers, preparing the schedules of the listening for listening, etc.
- Other duties are appointed.
The minimum qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited secondary school or obtaining a high school equation certificate.
Experience: One year of experience in performing administrative, written, written, or secretarial works.
Notes:
1. Candidates may replace 30 credit hours from a college or university accredited with the required expertise.
2. Candidates may replace the military service experience with the American armed forces as a non -commissioned officer that includes the work of employees who require regular use of independent rule and analysis in the application and interpretation of rules and regulations in accordance with the agency’s laws and policies on an annual basis for the required experience.
Required or favorite qualifications
- Modern experience in carrying out a new electronic process/successfully improving the process and the ability to explore, repair and improve the process errors
- One year (1) experience in work in a court or in a similar legal framework and directly in appeal cases
- One year’s experience (1) in applying rules, laws and/or regulations at work.
Special requirements
Candidates may be responsible for providing their transportation as needed to reach far -reaching meetings, sites, and work destinations, as have been appointed.
