College Operations Coordinator at the University of Bath

About the role

The College of Science is looking for a proactive, self-trained individual to take a lead role in the management of College activities.

This is a hugely varied and interesting role that includes a wide range of different tasks from supporting senior faculty in carrying out their duties including managing a diary and organizing meetings, serving a number of faculty committees, compiling data, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and working on a variety of projects simultaneously in a working environment.

About you

To achieve success in this position, you will be a good team player who also enjoys working independently and with initiative. You will have excellent management abilities and problem-solving skills, including support experience and the ability to manage a diverse workload while meeting strict deadlines. You will be highly organised, confident in working with data, with great attention to detail. You will have excellent spoken and written English with the ability to write clearly and concisely, and will be proficient in its use.

You will be able to use your knowledge and initiative to effectively manage and prioritize the requirements of the role. Effective and professional communication with internal and external communications is integral to the role, therefore the need for tact, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

Previous experience within a sector is desirable but not essential. Skills in using university specific software (Moodle, Samis, Agresso, Business Object) will be an added advantage. However, an interest in our work and a willingness to participate fully in the life of the College are equally important.
