Associate researcher for educational research at imperial London
About the role:
Do you have experience in higher education research, especially in educational psychology in the disciplinary contexts of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)? We are looking for a researcher to join the project’s final stages to help assess the university level training program to enhance learning organized by students and lifelong learning skills. This is an exciting post for the researcher with a strong interest in helping students reach their potential by using effective learning strategies. The training program has already been developed and is now scheduled to be tested. The contract will be for 6 months starting from February 2026.
What will you do?:
In this role, it will:
- Maintain good relationships with the participants appointed to reduce the leakage of the training program
- Carry out and analyze data from investigative studies and concentration groups using quantitative and qualitative research methods and programs (for example P And Nvivo)
- Continue developing a resource training program booklet
- Run the workshops to post students training
- Run workshops to publish employee training to include training as part of the university’s support for students to learn
- Report and submitting information to the project team, including the production of results reports.
- Maintaining organized and accurate records of research work
- Cooperation with colleagues from the departments of life and mathematics sciences, and the Center for Higher Education Research and Scholarships (CHERS) who lead the work
- Cooperation with colleagues from the broader university departments, such as the Education Development Unit, the Education Office, Student Services, the English Academic Language Center, and information technology to help include training
- Contributing with colleagues from various higher education institutions
- Contributing to promoting and publishing the project and its educational outputs within the university
- Compliance with the university’s health and safety policies, equality of opportunities and data management.
What are we looking for:
Ideal will:
- Get a doctorate in relevant social sciences (for example, education, educational psychology, sociology) or appropriate reward experience.
- Show quality research skills and strong quantity
- You have experience in teaching in higher education
- Be enthusiastic, well organized, able to work independently as well as cooperative as part of a team.
- Written, verbal and visual communication capabilities are excellent
- You have the ability to manage competing priorities effectively while maintaining high standards.

This is a full -time contract or a fixed period for a period of 6 months, starting from 01 February 2026 or shortly after.
Candidates who have not officially obtained a doctorate will be appointed as a researcher.
