Post -summary

Trainte College in Dublin, Dublin University, Saint James Hospital, and the Public Health Service Laboratory (HSE), is seeking to appoint a associate professor / consultant in microbiology. This post will have its main base in the academic department of clinical microbiology located in St. James Hospital, and has a presence at the Trinity Center for Health Sciences, Talagan University Hospital, and will also be absorbed at the Public Health Laboratory in Dublin, HSE, at Cherry Orchard Hospital.

PostHolder will develop a research program in clinical microbiology related to the activities of the departments in which Postolder will work and is expected to provide leadership in both university teaching and graduate studies in discipline from clinical microbiology, which includes the department’s masters in the healthcare infection, in addition to clinical responsibilities. This post provides an exciting opportunity to lead in the development of discipline in areas such as microbial pathogens, microbial genome, host nurse interaction, antimicrobial resistance, laboratory diagnosis of infections, infection control, and microbiology for public health.

salary: This date will be determined on Associate Professor/ Advisor, General Consulting Contract (POCC23) – Academy, the salary scale at some point in line with the current government wage policy (and will fit with experience). https://healthService.hse.ie/staff/pay/pay-scales/
