Agricultural Technology (tenure term) at the University of Nottingham

Applications are invited for the Agricultural Sustainability Technician degree to work across projects focused on supporting agricultural innovation in UK and global agricultural systems, based at the Center for Sustainable Agricultural Systems on the Sutton Bonington Campus of the University of Nottingham. This exciting role provides the opportunity to contribute to pioneering research that addresses some of the most pressing sustainability challenges facing agriculture today.

As a technologist, you will support applied research and innovation projects that test and scale sustainable practices in real-world settings. Working with leading researchers, industry partners and farmers, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between research and practice, helping to accelerate the transition towards more resilient, productive and environmentally responsible farming systems.

You will collaborate closely with researchers from across the University of Nottingham’s Center for Sustainable Agricultural Systems and the Food Systems Institute, combining multidisciplinary expertise to deliver impactful solutions across the agri-food chain. Besides, you will contribute to on-farm and industry trials, ensuring that evidence-based methods are cutting edge with practitioners and can be applied at scale.

A key part of the role will include building strong links with industry stakeholders, enabling knowledge sharing and supporting collaborative innovation that supports environmental outcomes and enhances business performance.
