The UCL Computer Science Department (CS) is the UK Supreme Computer Science Department. In evaluation of the 2021 research excellence framework (ReF), Uc Computer Science ranked second in the UK to obtain research power and the first in England. The UCL Hawkes Institute brings together methodologists from CS departments, medical physics and biomedical engineering (MPBE) with biomedical and bedrooms at the College of Life and Medical Sciences. About the role
The role of working at the UCL Hawkes in cooperation with the National Hospital of Neurological and Neurosurgery (NHNN) includes to work on a widespread medical photography analysis project, using the common netowRKs of the text message to help make radioactive decisions for the magnetic resonance imaging of the brain or prostate. This role will include interaction with many large photography data collections with matching radiology reports, design and training of deep learning models, project reports, presentations, and manuscripts driving to present conferences/magazines.
About you
The candidate will have a PhD in computer science or medical photography, and requires skills in managing and processing photography data, and operating software instructions (for example, Python) on a distance computing systems (for example, HPC group, CLOUD Service). The experience of processing natural language, especially the models of vision of the common text, will be very useful. While technical skills are important for this role, the formatting capacity will also be decisive because the role will include managing large photography data collections, running data processing tasks and helping reports. Excellent internal and external communication skills are required, and a guide will be evaluated that can be clarified on interest in translation research.
