About the role

Circular Communities Scotland is the network membership organization, dedicated to supporting the creation of a prosperous circular economy in Scotland. We support and represent reform, reuse and recycling charities and social institutions throughout the country. Our members prevent valuable products and materials from entering the landfill, creating local jobs, economic opportunities, and helping to enhance and create social and environmental justice in their societies.

The financing coordinator in the circular societies is responsible for supervising the financial affairs of the organization in addition to supporting the smooth running of the office environment and ensuring compliance with the requirements of governance.

What are we looking for

We are looking for a strong candidate with a busy record that supports organizational financing and management. Financial operations include a wide range of tasks including salary statements, entitlements, cemetery, old debt management, banking reconciliation, HMRC reports and VAT returns. Financial management tasks include identifying the annual budget, quarterly reports for financiers and providing monthly management accounts. We use Quickbooks for accounting and salaries. We are in a strong financial state as an institution with an annual rotation slightly more than 500,000 pounds. Our former financing coordinator was in a 17 -year -old leaflet and had strong financial systems and operations.
