Progress Director Basic functions
Advancement Director is the position of high leadership management at the CAPE FEAR Academy Academy responsible for the school’s progress through its development work, marketing, communications, special occasions and foundational relations. The principal is cooperating with the head of the school and the school’s leadership team to provide strategic directive to protect and enhance the school image internally and externally, in line with the mission and values ​​of the CAPE FEAR Academy. Specific responsibilities are:
- Establishing and implementing development/progress and strategic programs and implementing strategic programs that optimize the annual fund, main gifts and capital campaigns, and old gifts through planned giving.
- Care and maintain a very cooperative relationship with the head of the school, the chairman of the board of directors, the development committee of the board of directors, and the members of the individual board of directors, and support them in all their responsibilities to collect donations, and accompany them in donor visits when necessary.
- Supervising the Director of Communications and coordinating the director of enrollment in the production of funds and other marketing materials to expand and enhance the school’s vision and reputation.
- Manage the Development Office, the Graduate Office, Special Events, and Communications Budget.
- Supervising all internal communications (tracker, annual report, Oscar news, parents’ booklet/student, guide).
- Developing and assisting external cooperation with companies and institutions in the region, and enhancing current relations while building new relations, systems and programs that benefit from the generosity and resources of society.
- Manage your employees to enhance relationships with school graduates and develop graduate programming – family partnership.
- Responsible for organizing and monitoring all special events.
- Service in the top leadership team.
- Performing other duties as appointed by the head of the school.
Progress Director Knowledge, skills and cash capabilities
The ideal candidate will have a seven -year or more experience in collecting non -profit donations, five years experience of experience in the Department of Development, Marketing, Acceptance, or other progress employees. The independent school experience in the field of development/graduates and the mastery of donation techniques and skills is preferred in all aspects of development. These should include:
- Strong knowledge of development and collection of donations practices and strategies
- A successful success in seeking and closing charitable gifts
- The experience of working with and motivating volunteers and employees
- Strong personal skills and the ability to work with all school voters while maintaining strict secrecy
- The ability to develop and enhance good relations with a large segment of community leaders and external media
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Strategic thinker “Can-Do” style
- A passion for working with a wide range of individuals of various backgrounds
- Distinguished knowledge of donation collection data programs and database management programs
- I familiarity with the local community
