Bath University seeks to employ the research policies managers to join our research and compliance governance team. This is an exciting opportunity to help forming and implementing institutional research policies that support legal, ethical and regulatory standards.
About the role
As director of research policy, will:
- Development and implementation of research policies and procedures at the institutional level.
- Providing clear guidelines for researchers on external legislation that affects research (such as the Human tissue law).
- Perform an in -depth analysis to inform the development of evidence -based policy.
- Cooperation with senior leaders and stakeholders throughout the university to include best practices.
- Leadership Communications Strategies on Research and Integrity Governance.
- Support training and participation activities to ensure politics and compliance.

You will join a dynamic and supportive team to enable excellent and ethical research. The Research and Compliance Department provides experts ’directives and supervision through a wide range of fields, including:
- Ethical review operations
- Searching for safety and misconduct safety
- Reliable research and export controls
- Training and support for researchers
- Development of strategic policies and compliance monitoring

About you
The ideal filter will attend:
- An experiment installed in policy development, ideally in research management or a similar organizational environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to explain and provide complex information clearly.
- Excellent communication and personal capabilities, with confidence in the involvement of stakeholders and influencing all levels.
- A real cooperative mentality and enthusiasm for being part of a supportive and high -performance team.
- Performing and self-championship-work independently, managing multiple priorities, and leading initiatives forward.
- Commitment to moral standards, equality and comprehensive work practices.
- Knowledge of the parties to compliance with research and governance frameworks
It is advisable to qualify and experience in postgraduate studies in cooperative or cross -ite initiatives.

This is a full -time role, 36.5 hours per week, for a specific period for two years.
We support hybrid work, with 2-3 days per week on campus. Flexibility is required during peak periods, and the accidental presence of meetings or events may be requested.
