CC13016 Business clerk (mechanical)

This role is part of the project team in the university campus infrastructure department, responsible for maintenance and development of university buildings, including the developments of science ships such as the recently completed management school.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring, registering and reporting the progress of trade and contractors working on the site as part of the university and engineering project team.
  • Quality control inspections to ensure high quality and quality.
  • Working with contractors and their team to create standards that work must be carried out and reported to contractors and engineering employees on the quality and implementation of the business.
  • Attending the progress meetings on the site and submitting a written report and a short term in the list of addresses that will be agreed with the project manager/contract official.
  • Learn the site drawings and implement regular site visits
  • Tracking, monitoring and registering obstacles/notes using the online reporting system for the contractor and ensuring their solution and closing them illness.
  • Help in monitoring and reports, compliance with the site’s contractors with regard to health, safety and technical efficiency legislation.

Necessary for the role:

  • Great experience in managing the quality of capital expenses construction projects on a large scale
  • A wide and varied experience in the role of a similar (role)
  • SVQ 3/HNC/Vocational Training or equivalent to a topic related to construction
  • Correct CSCS and relevant / professional membership card (such as ICWCI)
  • Great experience in space management at a large and strategic level in a complex organization

It is advisable to membership of the Business Business Institute and/or MCIOB, and work experience in the higher education sector, as well as health qualifications and official safety, and familiarity with automatic reading and planning.

This is a full -time role, works 36.5 hours, but participating in Rota when contact is also required.
