Role summary:

The role of an exciting research specialist, 0.5FTE, is immediately available in strategy and technical operations (TS & O), within the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economics (ESE), based on the Tremough campus in Penryn. The basic responsibility of the roles holder is to manage the field research center and its associated technical spaces, operate and preserve field equipment, and provide high -quality technical services to support academic and students. The Field Research Center supports EXter research priorities in a set of specialties, including environment, biology, geology, geography and engineering. Facilities supports a set of activities including drone maps fee, ground -based survey, environmental monitoring, behavioral studies, environmental monitoring and sampling.

The pregnant woman will be asked after experience in managing equipment, preparing, operating and exploring it of this type. In addition, the roles holder will be asked to implement the method of developing the method, quality control, interpretation and analysis of data, as well as keeping pace with developments in devices and methods related to field research. The post -pregnant holder will provide facilities users regarding appropriate equipment and methods and advice/assist them in data analysis. The role holder must be practical in facilities management from resource management, cost restoration, seizure of space and equipment, and practical management of workforce, to ensure time delivery. Consequently, the pregnant woman will be responsible for the operational management of the day for their region, and it is expected that he will play a leading role in increasing effectiveness and efficiency of operations and procedures to support the research goals of the scientific community.
