Researcher/Assistant/Assistant (fixed period) at Cambridge University
The post -PhD or Research Assistant Center is available in cognitive and accounting neuroscience to work with Professor Zoe Courtzi at the Embolic Brain Laborat, Cambridge University, UK (http://www.abg.psychol.cam.ac.uk).
The situation will focus on nervous imaging, nervous computer studies for learning and brain. Our studies combine high -level brain imaging (7T MRI, spectral analysis), electrical physiology (EEG), TMS, TDCS and nerve energy (machine learning, reinforcement learning) to understand the dynamics of the network that supports learning and the brain plate.
Research activity is the essence of a cooperative award funded by Wellcome Trust that brings together a homogeneous team of international experts to investigate the role of the brain network dynamics for adaptive behavior. The bridges of our research program work through standards (local circles, global networks) and species (human beings and mice) to detect nerve stimulants that support learning and brain. Our work benefits from the advanced methodological developments in our team: A) high-field MR and functional brain photography B) arithmetic modeling and AI-directed to AI. Our international cooperative network provides unique opportunities for training through specializations in innovative methodologies in the front of neuroscience and calculations.
Research in the adaptive brain laboratory aims to understand how humans of all ages (healthy and patients with nervous cognitive disorders) translate sensory experience into complex decisions and adaptive behaviors by observing previous experience and learning. We develop multidisciplinary approaches to study the young brain and aging and understand adaptive behaviors in health disorders and nervous recognition.
You will receive multidisciplinary training in the interface between neuroscience and calculations. You will be integrated into a diverse cooperative team, and you will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and retreats across the network, in addition to the exchange visits through laboratories to facilitate training through specializations and cooperative work.
Applicants or PHD (or is presented at the time of appointment) with a strong academic record, in a related field (for example, neuroscience, medicine, genetics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, medicine). Programming skills (Matlab, Python) is necessary and experiment with brain imaging, EEG, interventional approach, arithmetic modeling is very desirable. Above all, they will prove enthusiasm to contribute to new knowledge and openness to learn new methods and ready to contribute to a multidisciplinary team across sectors (Academia, Industry).
Specified range: The money of this post is available for 18 months in the first place.
