Political and organizer – the compass
Compass is looking to recruit political organizer and campaigns while we are entering a new period of UK policy.
We are a growing organization with a long history of bold national campaigns, local groups throughout the country and a newly launched political network organized within the Labor Party, the main current.
To develop our network and influence, we look forward to increasing our organization, especially by operating influential events. The political and organizer will work with the Compass Campaign team to support our national campaigns for electoral reform and the general ownership of water. They will also work with the Compass team to support our network from local groups and contribute to our organization in all progressive parties, especially within the Labor Party.
They will contribute to our full organization program, but with a special responsibility for events and work with our local groups. They should be comfortable working in a vital small team with groups with different views.
This role involves:
- The development, construction and coordination of our local groups network All over England and support their local campaigns.
- Work with the organized team And local groups to strategy, planning and coordination of procedures.
- Work with the entire compass team to present events. We manage a set of events throughout the year, from changing our big event: How? Our annual, our events in party and festivals conference, such as the smaller events such as the internet party meetings and our surroundings in our reports.
- Involving and activating the members “and the compass” Through local groups and organization to increase our influence, with the aim of attracting and activating younger activists.
- Support for delivery of effective and creative campaigns – Including the support team support in writing copies and sending Mailouts.
How this role may look like in day to day:

- The team’s support for gathering civil society leaders as part of our work on a new popular front by sorting the logistical services for events – choosing a place or reservation of food.
- Write a copy of email messages to keep our activists updated with the main information about our activities.
- Support the organized team with library research for nutrition in our political participation work.
- Supporting the organization of our political packages by writing the CLP models or suggestions.
- Follow up with a member interested in starting a local group over the phone or email, knowing what motivates them and building a relationship.

We are looking for:
