Participant Director of Chapel Hill, North Carolina for Aspsa Unc Chapel Hill
The assistant director will supervise the football unit and provide academic support to students, primarily in the football team.
The academic support program for sports students provides academic support and assistance to sports students. The assistant director will be a member of a professional work team under the supervision of the program manager and will bear the responsibility for coordination and/or supervising programming and supervising the appointed academic advisers, and contributing to the administration of the academic center. The assistant director works as a director of the director and ASPSA, and thus, he continues and makes decisions that reflect the direction set by the director. The assistant director will also work as an academic advisor for specific teams and provides all the jobs of an academic advisor. Academic advisers help sports students in academic training in areas including academic study skills and learning strategies; It enhances the information provided by official academic advisers, educating students about NCAA and institutional requirements; In conjunction with campus partners, students are directed at the training course, the main selection and career planning. Academic advisers meet with students on a regular basis to monitor academic progress, review reports of faculty and teachers on academic progress for students, attend class, and grades. In addition, it provides detailed weekly reports to coaches, standing and attending team meetings, collecting class/eligibility reports, helping to prepare the academic progress rate for each team (APR) and the rate of graduation success (GSR). Academic Advisors participate in employment and guidance activities and evening structured study programs. ASPSA employees must maintain the highest level of integrity, follow up and comply with all NCAA, ACC and university policies and procedures. The program is located in ASPSA under the Provost office.
Qualifications:
required:
- The post -baccalaureate degree required (or the equivalent of a foreign degree); For candidates who show independent educational or educational activities that can be comparable to advising students, consulting or student employees, they will accept a bachelor’s degree related (or the equivalent of a foreign degree) and 3 years or more of the relevant experience in replacement.
- At least three years of experience in working with students in academic advice or the field of relevant student service or teaching in an educational environment
- Knowing the best practices in keeping university students and familiarity with issues related to academic progress for students and transfer
- Leadership and supervisory experience showed
- The effectiveness of work was cooperative with employees and colleagues
- Strong skills at work with details and logistics services
- Strong written and transparent communication skills
- Night work and weekend is required throughout the year
