We seek to appoint a clinical research colleague to support the DEN-HOST, which is a large multi-site clinical experience, adapting 3, to assess treatments in patients with moderate or severe dengue fever. The goal of Den-Host is to determine safe and effective treatments at affordable prices that prevent the development of the disease in patients at risk, and improve results for those who suffer from severe disease, and eventually reduce the burden of dengue fever on health systems in settlement areas.

The experiment will recruit up to 8,000 patients over 5 years across 25 sites in 10 countries, working through international networks including recovery, ISARIC, preparation and OUCRU. The study is headed by Professor Yakoub, chief researcher, based at the Institute of Epidemiology (NDM, Oxford) in cooperation with the Clinical Experience Service Unit (CTSU) and Oucru Vietnam. It will work closely with colleagues at the Central Coordination Office in Oxford, regional coordination centers in the participating countries, and local clinical centers throughout Asia and Latin America.

You will be responsible for supporting design, implementation and quality guarantee for the experiment, ensuring that all research related to the patient corresponds to the highest standards of clinical rule and good clinical practice. You will contribute to organizational applications, ethics, and develop documentary systems and experimental management in cooperation with CTSU. Clinical experience will provide experimental operations and data analysis, and contribute to providing safe and compatible research through international sites, and is available to travel abroad in the short term to support study sites. The results will also be published through publications and conferences, and contributing to the academic life of management through seminars, teaching and cooperative research.

It is necessary to be a registered GMC with a complete license to practice medicine in the UK and hold a national training number in infectious diseases along with public medicine, medical virus or medical microbiology (or a qualification equivalent to applicants other than today). You will hold, or you can get an honorary contract in NHS and have a MRCP or another professional qualification. It should bring a strong clinical trial, perfectly with dengue fever or other infectious diseases, and an experiment installed as an investigator or investigator participating in clinical research. A proper understanding of good clinical practice, research ethics and governance frameworks is necessary, as well as written and excellent communication skills. You should also be ready and able to travel in the short term to study sites in Asia and Latin America.
