Are you an experienced teacher looking to support an exciting program that works with children to inspire them to live a healthier life? Do you have a background in education?

We are looking for a professional and prospective individual to support the Lifelaab program. We are expanding our presentation to schools, including primary schools, and in this way, we are looking for an additional teacher to support the delivery of the LIFELAB program for our high school. You will participate primarily in support for the daily delivery of the Lifelab program; Communication with teachers, presenting the day of Lifelaab activity, and providing the day of professional development for teachers and all associated administrative tasks. There will be opportunities to support the development of new resources for educational participation for children and youth, which increases scientific literacy, using relevant contexts. There are opportunities to support the development of our online delivery as well as if this is an interesting field.

You will have experience in teaching science in high schools and/or colleges and are confident in developing and providing professional development for teachers. A successful candidate will also support the management and coordination of the “Meet the Scientist” part of LIFELAB activity. By working through a variety of internal and external stakeholders, this excellent opportunity requires strong writing and communications skills, as well as commitment to teamwork.

About lifelb

The task of the Lifelb program is to deal with children and youth, and to support them in understanding the science behind health messages. We aim to help young people think about how their current lifestyle options affect their health now, in their future, and perhaps for their future children.

This role will be in Lifelb at Southampton University Hospital.

This is a full -time date (1.0 FTE), a fixed term until 30^Y September 2026 in the first place.
