About you / what we are looking for
We are currently employing an engineering supervisor and search to join our design and construction team in engineering and public works. This is the artistic, organizational work and supervisory inspection in ensuring that the work that contractors do in various capital or development projects are compatible with the plans, specific regulations, standards, contracts, specifications and related requirements.

Responsibilities include, for example, but not limited to:

• Plans, appointment and supervision of the work of engineering inspectors (eight) who work at the average and complex level;
• Communicate with developers, contractors, utilities and others in matters related to development service work;
• Pre -meetings were established for development projects and determined when the works have achieved a significant completion;
• Check and organize municipal benefit and work on roads by private sector contractors;
• Helps prepare or update the current specifications and standards and maintain the list of products approved in the city;
• Supervising compliance with the city’s infringement policy.

The successful candidate will be confident in communicating with the city’s employees from various departments, advisors and contractors and working with the population to address the emerging issues in a fast -response manner with an independent judgment on a daily basis.

The minimum qualifications
In addition to a great related experience, it is preferable to be in a municipal environment, completing the diploma program in civil engineering technology or related discipline, or an equivalent mix of training and experience. Membership (or eligibility) is required in ASTTBC or approved equivalent. Certificate as a public works inspector 3 favorite. BC is also required for a BC.

What we offer:
This position contains an hour of $ 51.87 – $ 61.29 per hour (2025 rates). The wage rate depends on a variety of factors, including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
