We are looking for Procurement analyst To join our purchasing services section with a focus on implementing complex RFX projects and purchasing projects for Worksafebc.

Reports to the manager, and purchasing services, in this role, will search, develop and provide recommendations and implement strategies to improve our resource practices while working closely with senior management. It will depend on the interpretation and application of legislative policy, actions, and procedures by participating in changes in purchasing systems, providing training, enlightened advice, and recommendations on the policy and procedures of purchase. In addition, you can provide the direction of work for a variety of employee jobs in the purchasing services department as part of driving development.

Where will you do?

In Worksafebc, we offer a hybrid business model that combines work remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the situation.

For this position, a successful candidate must work two days a week in our office in Richmond.

What will you do?

  • Managing a comprehensive group of complex purchasing projects, independently disposing of problems and response to the customer’s needs, exploring creative and innovative alternatives and developing recommendations
  • Help and participate in projects and their leadership with great effects on the organization to address emerging issues
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop complex competitive competitions, develop RFX documents, and manage purchases from start to finish, including leading contract negotiations
  • Preparing, writing and reviewing sellers contracts and working with the Worksafebc Law Department for non -standard sellers contracts, while ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and ethics rules
  • Providing supervision and guidance for the members of the beginners team who help them to achieve the goals of companies and help the team through knowledge and apply driving and team building skills and techniques such as facilitating the group, coordination, training, problem solving and communication between people and integrating work and products

Is this suitable for you?

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Defining, identifying, analyzing and applying the law and politics on issues and facts to assess the impact, recognize importance, assess options, and provide recommendations
  • Planning, leading and facilitating the purchase process in the meetings of the multidisciplinary purchasing project, and negotiating contracts and agreements of complex services
  • Use effective communication skills to provide information to the masses of different levels of experience and answer questions
  • Training and motivating individuals and working groups to provide a clear trend and encourage a high level of customer service
  • Use the principles and technologies of project management including costs, define resource requirements, create time tables, monitor progress, and use strong personal skills to manage the expectations of the internal interests.

Your background and your experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree Or a two -year post -secondary diploma in purchase, business administration, economics, or related discipline
  • A At least six years of experience in the field of progressive purchases and/or category managementThis includes experience in a large position or a pioneering complex purchase projects
  • The appointment of the Supply Series Management Specialist (SCMP) from the Supply Series Management Association in Canada
