Lecturer in the press at the University of Brighton

This position provides an excellent opportunity to play an important and active role in our press lectures team. This permanent role will contribute full-time teaching and research as a lecturer in the four-press courses approved by NCTJ-Sports Press (Ba), Ba (with honors), sports journalism, MA, in the field of media in the art and media school. You will work with colleagues to achieve a collective vision that will take the courses forward.

To be effective in this role you will need;

  • A related degree in the press in Ba or what
  • The experience of modern and objective industry for basic news reports practices, production practices in multimedia settings and a multi -platform employee.
  • Experience in how to use digital and social media to practice journalism.
  • Commitment to the principles of diversity and integration in both higher education and the press.
  • An updated, sound knowledge of the topic, including the current professional/professional developments and the scope of the general skills required.
  • Strong research, a busy record or a clear feeling of the career path in this direction.

It is better to teach experience in the press at the level of the university stage and/or the level of postgraduate studies and vocational qualification in the press granted by the National Council for Journalists Training (NCTJ). High -level knowledge of the technical aspects of the press, including the production of TV and radio studio, visual audio editing, content management systems, and feature design programs as well.
