Director, original relationships Worksafebc function on T -Net

Are you excited to work with indigenous population societies and lead a team that makes a real team? Worksafebc looking for a file Director of original relationships To join our team. In this role, a group of dedicated employees who support indigenous workers, employers, service providers and communities will lead. You will be reported by the first manager of the original relationships and help to ensure that our services are culturally respected and accessible.
Your team will advise, support community participation, and help indigenous customers find their way through our system. You will play an important role in implementing the Worksafebc plan for stronger relations with indigenous societies.
As a manager, it will help in developing the team, forming the roles of cultural navigators and participating specialists, and improving the experience of the original customers with us. Your leadership will help build confidence and respected relationships, both within Worksafebc and indigenous communities. Where will you do?
In Worksafebc, we offer a hybrid business model that combines work remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the situation.
In this role, you will work mainly from your local office appointed with some flexibility to work from your home in BC
What will you do?
- The main programs that support the original relationships in Worksafebc, including the work of the cultural explorer and community participation, while ensuring their compatibility with our goals and providing high -quality service.
- Support employees and other teams by providing advice on how to implement policies and plans related to original relations, and encourage teamwork throughout the organization.
- Improving how indigenous customers move through our system -like claims, prevention, and assessments that make the process easier to understand and more cultural support.
- Create and implement communication plans and change them to build original participation in all WorkSafebc services.
- It plans to lead efforts to communicate with the original societies, follow their success, and make changes as needed to maintain meaning and society.
- Building and maintaining respectful and long -term relationships with indigenous societies, employers and organizations, act as a major calling point.
- Leading and supporting your team by employing, training and managing performance and creating a safe, comprehensive and positive work environment.
- Worksafebc is represented in meetings, conferences and internal committees to show our commitment to the United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples (UNDRIP), the truth, reconciliation, and insertion of the indigenous population.

- Provide an excellent service by understanding and responding to the unique needs of customers and original employees and searching for ways to make their experience better.
- Take an initiative to understand what customers and indigenous employers need, and work to improve access, support and comprehensive service.
Your background and your experience
- University degree in indigenous population studies, public administration, public policy, or relevant discipline
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in the areas of original relationships, management, employee management, consulting, prevention and/or disability management.
- The situation also requires understanding of the original issues and in appreciation of the complexity and diversity of peoples and indigenous societies in British Columbia.
- Preference will be given to the candidates who define themselves as the indigenous and/or have experienced experience within the original societies, in line with our commitment to fairness and transparency.
An equivalent mix of education and experience can be considered.
