Development Assistant

Ideal start date: as soon as possible.

Florida Studio, a LORT D Regional theater in Sarasota, is looking for qualified applicants for the position of assistant development or customer service. This employee will provide written support for the theater collection department, including the response to phones, data entry, reports and activities related to special occasions. Some projects may occur during evening or weekends.

The situation is mostly from Monday to Friday with the weekend available.

Strong computer, organizational and written skills is a must.

Providing reports to the director of development, this is an ideal perfect position for theater and arts professionals who are somewhat early in their career and are looking for excellent growth opportunities in non -profit work, communications, and business in the professional regional theater environment.

Job title

• It works as a major administrative assistant for the Director of Development and works as a communication link for the Ministry of Development.
• Provide support for tickets, exchanges, subscription renewal, and donor positions; Greeting senior characters in the theater and ensuring a smooth experience in the foreground, as needed.
• A draft seam messages for large direct mail campaigns (for example, become a friend, re -re -re -regulators, and Playbill promotions).
• Provide backup support for donor phone calls (Monday), assist in donor lunch when needed, support for renewal campaigns, and providing box office assistance as required.
• Maintaining donor files and ensuring accuracy of data in Tessitura. Refer to the new contributions report a daily report and download the names of the program from the web donation reports.
• Daily gift processing less than $ 1,000; A recognition letters of the issue and tax receipts for all gifts; Distribution of the internal donation report for the gifts of $ 1,000+. Cooperation with the Director of Development to ensure accurate gift coding and reports.
• Prepare donor and juvenile connections using Adobe Design, Microsoft Word, continuous contact or Canva, as needed.
• Help in planning and implementing donor events, reception parties and activities.
• Support for targeted donations initiatives (for example, challenge challenge, Hurricane Capital, Arts Plaza). The Director of Development helped implement the online challenge in partnership with the Patterson Foundation.
• Support the development team in coordinating rounds and head notices.
• Other duties are appointed.

The required skills

• Effective written communication skills.
• MS 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & SharePoint).
• It is able to raise and move the trays and boxes, up to 40.

Favorite skills

• Ideal with database programs, such as Tessitura.
• Action experience in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Knowledge of direct mail campaigns, marketing technologies or a great interest to learning (Smartaddresser and continuous communication).
• Experience with donor exploration tools such as wealth engine.

A valid driver’s license, a car for capabilities and connections is required.

Salary range: Annually 36,000 – 39,000 dollars
