We are looking for research with an engineering or sports background and strong communication skills with knowledge about quantitative measurement of uncertainty in making decisions and/or flood management.

Opportunity:

This assistant researcher (RA) in UQ4FM will contribute: the quantitative measurement of the uncertainty of the modeling of the floods within the Institute of Infrastructure and Environment at the University of Edsrc, and cooperating with colleagues at the University of Bristol and Oclasses.

This role is UE07 and is available on the basis of a fixed period until 02/28/2027 with the possibility of another financing.

Your skills and characteristics for success:

• Experience in hydrodine modeling
• A strong proven ability to communicate with external stakeholders (such as engineering consultants or environment)
• Advanced statistical analysis capacity
• Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence
• Icon’s ability – for example in R or Python
