We are pleased to announce an exciting role to work as part of the Newcastle Statistical Research Group (BRG), the NCTU clinical and NIHR research support service hosted by Newcastle and partners (RSS N&P).
This role will provide strategic leadership in the field of implementing innovative experimental designs in practice, especially focusing on rare diseases. This position is funded through the translation centers funded by Lifearc and RSS N&P.
BRG is a group of 30 applications and methodologists who work together to develop and implement modern statistical methods in health research. The role will be adopted in our offices on the main campus. In compliance with the mixed work policy at Newcastle University, this position allows work from home to part of your business week.
We are looking for an individual who has a wonderful collection of search outputs, evidence of their research in practice, and a busy record of funding for their research. You may have a great experience at a level equivalent to senior researchers.

You will connect the administration’s colleagues and take a leading role in the team’s regular meetings, and develop cooperation within the BRG/NCTU and externally to the group. There will be opportunities to oversee doctoral students and develop your research portfolio.
We are looking for individuals: ambitious to achieve the results and develop their complementary search field for BRG; Ready to participate in the application of advanced statistical methods in real projects; Those who work well with others and want to support our positive research culture.
