Our School of Art is a creative center for about 5,000 people: more than 4000 students and 800 colleagues. Luca and Co Leuvin provides them with an educational and research environment to increase the development of their creative talents. We do this through higher education programs in the broad field of art, and through artistic research, which is included in the College of Arts associated with it in Ko Levin. We have a sanctuary in four cities: Grad, Brussels, Louvin and Jenk. Luka is a member of the Co Leuven Association and the European University Alliance Flaio.

Within the experience of artistic practices experience, we are looking for a talented artist for the visual narration team (Brussels), specializing in contemporary artistic visual stories, socially related graphic novels and/or animation projects. Through “Animation Projects”, we mean a wide range of animation production, including traditional animation, video maps, digital installations and other visual story listing forms.

We are looking for a person with his own voice in both the visual and narrative aspects of their work, and those who are able to contribute to research and education through artistic research based on practice. The search is located in the visual storytelling team, but it can also communicate with other teams, such as ART & Technology and Audiovaucal Concepts.

research

As a lecturer, you spend about half of your mission to search. Along with colleagues, a group of doctoral students and post -doctoral researchers will be built. It will achieve the production of the international level and attract external resources for additional research. The status of the private guest lecturers in the arts allows you to be a doctorate supervisor in art and research projects within the Co Loew.

education

Your task includes teaching tasks within Luca Visual Arts & Design and Luca Treg. These are mainly located in the comic and animation films. The task is broader than teaching and supervising and evaluating students. Along with colleagues, you can develop teaching and learning activities, designed specifically for the students of the student and in the context of the curricula and the program definition file. You are also actively contributing to the quality of the program and took over Luka’s ambassador in relation to potential students and graduates.

service

Scientific, social and internal services are also part of the task, as well as professionalism and international networks. It is also expected that you will play a leading role in Luka and Ko Levin at certain times.

We are looking for a researcher who can build bridges between the visual narration and animation movies, who can bring students from both programs in contact with each other through their search and practices.

You will participate in teaching practical topics (master’s projects) and theoretical thinking (master’s theses and options in the Master), and also contributes to the Bachelor’s program, for example in choices, supervision of a bachelor’s thesis and/or studio or studio tasks.

You have a doctorate.

These vacancies aim to appoint the legal period for an unspecified period for 100 % in a vacancy position with the position of lecturer (OP3) at Luka College of Art. A permanent date can be applied in time. In addition, you will get a special guest lecturer in the arts inside the Co Lofen for five years.
