The Innovation Center for Engineering and Northern Robots (NERIC) is looking for a distinguished world of research in Microsystems and Nanotechnology. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the interface of academic and industry, support small and medium -sized companies and research partners in Greater Manchester and beyond. Working in the extensive areas of advanced materials and advanced manufacturing, you will design, manufacture and test the initial models of micro/nano -devices, helping small and medium -sized companies and cooperate with academics and prominent industrial creators

Main responsibilities

• Imagine, planning and presenting applied research and development projects that address industrial challenges, and work with Nichara facilities such as cleaning rooms, laboratories and initial models environments.
• Providing technical, analytical insight and research support for small and medium -sized companies and partners in the industry, and helping them develop new products and services in precise engineering, micro Weiss, nanotechnology, advanced materials and manufacturing.
• Do academic research, generate outputs for magazines reviewed by the peers and present relevant conferences. Translate research results into practical solutions, initial models, which create the effect of measurable industry.
• Cooperation with the Nerik team to ensure success in providing the projects led by industry.
• Providing training sessions, workshops, knowledge transfer activities to small and medium -sized companies and those cooperating with industry and researchers in relevant technical fields.
