About the role

This is a great opportunity to join Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, as it works within the delivery team as a new employee for the project.

As the project official, you will work closely with two current project officers to interact with the chosen schools. These schools will support all over the region to inspire, encourage and empower students and their families to walk, wheels, rotate and ride to school.

You will participate and work with the selected schools and its broader societies throughout the BCP, and develop and provide fun, attractive and innovative activities and events. This will be comprehensive, encouraging and enabling all forms of active travel (walking, cycling, retreating and wheel) to school. This will be achieved by planning and providing practical skills (such as cycling and motorcycle skills sessions, bicycle maintenance, horseback and riding), information events (such as assemblies, decrease in sessions, pop -up pivots), competitions, incentive programs and classroom sessions. You will also support the delivery of the successful successful School School School School, both for new and current plans.

You will work closely with the relevant teams in the BCP Council and the other main stakeholders to achieve the greatest impact through cooperative work.

You will report directly to the local project manager, work with other project employees and local volunteers in the project, and other officers locally, in addition to engaging with the project employees throughout the southern region and the United Kingdom.

Due to the nature of the role, the full DBS should be completed by a successful person. Candidates in the geographical area should be with a regular travel expectation.

About you

We ask that you have experience in the following areas:

  • The experience of working with children and youth.
  • Understanding active travel and issues facing societies that suffer from inequality.
  • Awareness of national standards for community participation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of behavior change theories and tools, including the Com-B model
  • Knowing the protection of principles and best practices.
  • The experience of managing small project clearly or experienced in providing work packages as part of the project.
  • Experience with communication with different fans and adapting your approach.
  • Problem solving skills (analytical and pre -emptive).
