The DTU Compute Department invites applications for the appointment of a professor in social perception.

We are looking for distinguished and experienced researchers who have a strong publishing record in the field of social perception, strong experience in leading the research group, supervising post Ph.D. students, obtaining competitive research financing, teaching, and developing the training course.

As a colleague in the Department of Cognitive Systems, you will be part of a large, vibrant, wicked and rooted research environment internationally. The university is located in the Greater Copenhagen area, which is recognized for its excellent standards from the living system, child care and luxury.

Responsibilities and qualifications

Your focus will be to enhance our research and our education within social perception, and your personal file will contribute to the strategic focus of DTU on sustainable transformation and digitization as well as providing the best engineering education in Europe. You will play a leading role in developing the activities of the section in the field of social perception and human perception on a broader scale. In particular, we expect that you will conduct a new experimental research in social perception, which is completed by mathematical methods to understand behavioral and nervous mechanisms for social interaction, that is, ways to develop behavioral and nervous dynamics.

It will contribute to identifying new educational needs on a broader scale in cognitive science and developing our training course portfolio in advanced training courses in human perception, with applications on artificial intelligence. Finally, we expect you to start innovation activities and lead, for example, through cooperation with companies.

We are looking for candidates from all branches of social perception, but we are especially interested in experienced candidates in the field of research and teaching in experimental and accounting methods of social perception, and in the interface between the dynamics of coordination, scanning and social networks. You are expected to have a powerful posting record with leaflets in the leadership of nervous imaging, knowledge science and multidisciplinary magazines. Moreover, we expect you to have experience in leading a research group, supervising post -doctoral and students at Beng, BSC, MSC and PHD levels, attracting competitive external financing, performing services for your research institution, for example, by being part of the evaluation committees, conducting grant evaluation, and organizing workshops.
