Opportunity:

SRUC (Rural College in Scotland) seeks to obtain a very researcher to join the Dairy Research and Innovation Center on the Baroni campus. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced research in dairy cow and environmental sustainability.

You will be responsible for the daily planning and implementation leadership of nutrition studies that focus on dairy feeding and greenhouse gas emissions. The role includes working with advanced equipment, including individual feed registration systems and green methane measuring technology, to provide high -impact research. The fields of study include nutrition strategies, nutritional interventions, feed supplements, methane relief techniques, and nutritional aspects related to the genetic study of Lancel.

In addition to the experiment management, it will support the development of research proposals, and contribute to knowledge exchange activities, and the publications reviewed by the peer. You will cooperate with internal and external stakeholders and play a major role in the progress of the SRUC agenda.

It will be part of a dynamic team that works on the real world challenges with access to modern facilities and professional development opportunities.

The minimum qualifications and experience:

We are looking for a person with a degree, preferably a postgraduate qualification, in zoology, agricultural sciences, or a related field.

Experience in livestock research, especially dairy feeding, is desirable. You must have strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent communication capabilities and teamwork.
