At Nihr Applied Research Collaboration West, Arc West and Nihr Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU), we work alongside patients and public members to conduct health research.

Our research aims to protect public health and address urgent issues facing the health and social care system. We help in introducing research evidence into practice and provide training for the local workforce. Public shareholders play a major role in directing our research, ensuring that our work addresses the needs and interests of the public.

You are a great colleague in the field of skilled and enthusiastic research in general participation to join our general participation team to cover maternity leave. We have a busy record in developing an innovative and effective public participation. By working with general shareholders, it will lead to continuous development to implement the ARC West and HPRU strategy. You will work closely with our general participation strategy groups consisting of general shareholders and research employees. The main activities will include:

• Buying the capacity and experience in PPI
• Cooperative work with general shareholders to ensure strong public participation in our research and governance operations
• Management, monitoring, informing and evaluating the activities of the producers’ price index and related learning, including capturing the current impact studies
• Impact on politics and practice through cooperation with the main stakeholders

Arc West and HPRU are members of our regional PPI network, people in Western Health from England (PHWE). Its goal is to enhance a strong public voice in health and social care research with partner organizations throughout the Bristol region. This approach joining public participation creates the opportunity to coordinate our work, develop and share resources to support public participation throughout the region.

This is a full -time post and is a specific period until March 31, 2026. We hope that the person appointed by November 3, 2025.

This role is the campus of all of your time, although you can discuss the possibility of working remotely with the employment manager.
