Job title

Meridian International, a global tool and design for devices and manufacturing, seeks to obtain an industrial designer 3-5 years experience to join the research and development team at the American company headquarters in Centennial, Colorado. By working closely with the company’s sales group and its engineers in Shanghai, the successful candidate will contribute to developing innovative design solutions that expand the company’s products.

Main responsibilities:
• Developing creative solutions for manual tools, storage, hardware, garden products and garden based on the principles of designated design.
• Cooperation with interior design teams, engineering, manufacturing and sales brings innovative products to retailers all over the world.
• Translate new design ideas or product updates into graphics, performance, stories, initial models, CAD models and animation.
• Understanding and implementing brand guidelines across multiple products.
• Create and provide major design details and improvements to team members and internal customers.
• Development, construction and testing of the initial models
• Track the current product trends and competitors’ developments in the manual tool sectors, hardware, grass products and garden.

Software requirements:
• SolidWorks
• Keyshot
• Adobe Creative Cloud
• MS Office 360

Minimum qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in the environment for developing material products
• A degree in industrial design, product design or equivalent
Understanding basic manufacturing operations-injection pour, death, machines, 3D printing, etc.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to generate/evaluate creative ideas
• Team and collaborative player
• The ability to travel locally and internationally
