Develop the BACP purpose and context research team, implement research programs and conduct research according to the BACP strategy. The team works to facilitate and encourage the research related to advice professions. We are looking for a researcher to contribute to the work of a deficit define review project. We are looking for a person who considers himself disabled, or is interested in a person who suffers from a disability, and has experience in consulting, psychotherapy, or treatment. The project is a domain review aimed at identifying and synthesis current research related to the experiences of obstructed peoples and perceptions of access to counseling and psychotherapy. The review aims to determine the current gaps at the base of evidence and report how research, practice and future policy can develop and enhance comprehensive strategies and curricula that will support the psychological well -being of disabled customers who reach counseling and psychotherapy.

* We realize that terms with regard to living persons (PLE) are developing regularly and that favorite terms can vary (for example, patient and public participation (PPI), customer participation, experts by experiment, etc.).

Main responsibilities

To work as part of the research team to complete the domain review of the current research related to the experiences of the disabled peoples and perceptions of access to consultation and psychotherapy.

Specific tasks

  • Attending meetings with the research team and people with living experience (PLE) for planning and discussing the project (from 1.5 to 3 hours of meetings up to 6 times during the project)
  • Be involved at each stage of the domain review process (i.e. developing a research strategy, abstract examination, decisions on the papers for listing, extracting relevant data, and synthesis of results and writing for publication).
  • Review and integrate comments from the PLE plate throughout the project and from disability organizations during the consulting phase.

Person specifications

Basic standards

  • A person who considers himself disabled, or is interested in a person who suffers from a disability, or has experience in consulting, psychotherapy, training, mental health services, or experience in conducting research in the field of consulting and psychotherapy.
  • In -depth knowledge of research in the field of consulting and psychotherapy, research methodologies and the experience of conducting and publishing research.
  • Ideally or working on a related doctorate, for example in social sciences.
  • Experience the systematic literature for research and review, perfectly for Prisma.
  • The ability and experience of research, analysis and summary of information and complex issues in a clear, brief and accurate model.
  • Writing experience for publication in the field of consulting and psychotherapy research.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; The ability to work on a special initiative, to organize and set the priorities of work on the agreed deadlines.

Time commitment and fees

She worked a fee of 250 pounds per day for 16 days between January 2026 and April/May 2027 flexible within the agreed dates and within the project’s schedule.
