This position will contribute to providing stereotypes related to criminology at university levels and graduate studies, and support students in developing critical understanding of justice, social behavior and criminal theories in a global context. This is an exciting opportunity to help form crime science education in the United Arab Emirates and contribute to an academic environment based on innovation, student participation, and scientific development.

Main responsibilities:

• Delivery and evaluation of criminality units in the university stage as well as the level of postgraduate studies.
• Supervising student research projects at university and graduate studies.
• Providing academic guidance, guidance, and supporting personal lessons for students.
• Contributing to design and context, reviewing and enhancing content related to criminology to ensure compatibility with the laws of the Emirates, policies and cultural sensitivities.
• Participate in the program meetings, employment events, open days, and quality assurance operations.
• Inclusion of scientific activity, research or professional practice is in line with criminology or related fields.
• Supporting cooperation through programs and contributing to the university awareness effort.

Candidate requirements:

Qualifications:

• A PhD in criminologyClinical psychology with criminality, or closely related discipline (required)

expertise:

• Ideally 1-3 years of experience in the relevant teaching in higher education for the positions of lecturers (required), and 3+ years of teaching, research and academic leadership in higher education, within an academic environment alignment in the United Kingdom or the United Kingdom, to hold the positions of higher (required) lecturers.
• An installed or emerging experience in the teaching of crime science at the level of university or graduate studies
• Knowledge of the UK’s higher education system and the understanding of the cultural context in the United Arab Emirates (required)
• Experience with the context of the curricula, development and supervision of students (desirable)
• Minimum 2 indexed research publications Scopus Related to criminology or related fields (desirable)
