Power duties
This is the position of the first executive director, who holds the second highest official position in the Rehabilitation Services Department of the Ministry of Education, MSDE. This situation plans, directs, and runs programs within the rehabilitation services department. By working with the assistant supervisor of the state responsible for Dors, this position is supervised by planning and operations for all Dors. This position assumes the authorized authority in the absence of the assistant state supervisor or when needed.
Responsibilities include:
- The assistant supervisor of the state for strategic planning for all offices within Dors, including disability identification services, blind services and vision office, workforce services and workforce, workforce and technology, management and financial services office, and field services office.
- It develops practices, policies and procedures to increase the increased customer experiences in all offices within Dors.
- Supervising financial management within Dors, including federal grant management.
- DORS Secretary of Grievances for Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Life directs to older customers.
- Adherence to the laws, regulations, policies and procedures in force in providing a quality rehabilitation system.
- It guarantees the success of continuous participation with societies to improve comprehensive communications and identify regular issues that affect individuals.
- MSDE and Dors are in front of the Legislative Authority, the Education Council, Professional Organizations, Federal officials, Da`wah groups, and community providers.
- It reviews the data to determine the best practices and improvements in the comprehensive services of the epithelium.
The minimum qualifications
expertise: Five years of experience in driving in the fields of professional rehabilitation, and define deficit, and/or support for the independence of youth and adults with disabilities.
Note: Candidates can replace the possession of a bachelor’s degree and seven years of the required experience.
Licensing, recordings and certificates
Employees in this classification can be assigned duties that require a car operation. The appointed employees will be asked for such duties to have a valid car operator license in Maryland.
Special requirements
Applicants must approve the state police (fingerprints) as a routine procedure for all employees in this agency.
