Head of Gardening – Soil Association
About our organization
The soil association, which was formed in 1946, is the only charitable organization in the United Kingdom that works through the human health spectrum, environment and animal welfare. This is because we cannot address these issues in isolation.
We are a campaign for change, we support agricultural innovation, offer healthy foods in societies, support and develop the organic market, and we protect forests. We were unable to do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated employees. We make a difference in the world where it is needed.
About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the soil association to lead our work with farmers. The role of exchanging knowledge and research led by farmers that support the absorption of agricultural biological practices, which represents organic farmers and providing our organic sector development strategy, and working closely with stakeholders and major partners in the supply chain.
About you
You will have an important practical experience in commercial horticultural supply chains and/or technological horticultural experience. The experience of providing advisory services to farmers and great experience in work effectively with a wide range of research, commercial partners and stakeholders is very important. For the right filter, this role provides the opportunity to use your practical and commercial experience to support the future of sustainable gardening.
