About the role

COOTES to Excarpment Ecopark System ConsTruance plays a major role in protecting one of the most biological and biological -rich natural areas. This position is responsible for coordinating the efforts of multiple partner agencies that promote biological diversity in the natural lands surrounding Cootes Paradise Marsh and Lower Grindstone Creek. It will lead to coordination of the program, the participation of stakeholders, strategic planning, communications, and data management to support the cooperative work of ECOPark.

Main responsibilities

• Daily operations for the ECOPARK Secretariat, including the development of a business plan, budget management, reporting, and financial coordination.
• Facilitating effective cooperation between ECOPARK partner agencies, and ensuring compatibility with common preservation goals.
• Support the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (Memorandum of Understanding) between the partners.
• Helping to develop the strategic project proposal, financing applications, and delivery of the supervision program.
• Cooperation with RBG and partner agencies to provide consistent and affected communications.
• Coordination of efforts to participate in the media and stakeholders to increase awareness of Ecopark initiatives.
• Providing administrative support to the ECOPark System Management Committee and the Governing Council.
• Prepare the meeting materials, coordinate document approvals, and manage logistical services to support strategic governance.
• Keep Ecopark System (SquaresPace), OneDrive, and GIS (Arcgis Online).
• Ensure that effective data sharing and cooperation tools are present for all partners.

Knowledge and experience

• An installed experience of cooperative project management and multiple stakeholders partners.
• A strong understanding of budget development and financial control.
• Knowing the initiatives to maintain biological diversity at local, local and national levels.
• Iffairs with urban environmental recovery practices, gaseous types management, and geographic information systems maps.
• Excellent skills between people, organizational and project management.
• Advanced and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiations and consensus construction capabilities.
• Cash capabilities and risk management.
• Experience planning and facilitating strategic meetings and workshops.
• Efficiency in MS Office, Arcgis Online, CMS platforms, and data management tools.
• A valid category G -Class driver and a clean driving record (insurance eligibility is required).
