The path combines observation and descriptive methods that are based on experiments and experiments with large population data groups to provide evidence for the most urgent health challenges. Research has informed evidence -based policy to support people to take healthy lifestyle options and/or better live with disease and disability. More specifically, it searches for the built and social environment and its impact on many health and/or social results. For example, the project may distinguish the travel or schools environment, and to investigate the influence on injuries, mental health and educational results; Or transform aging and population specifications with the size of the family with regard to the epidemic of chronic health conditions to treat the urgent issue “Care -GAP”. Projects may use a set of methodologies, from observed modeling to computer and population modeling. Such projects and methods associated with the linking of administrative and health data are achieved, which increases the demand for doctoral researchers appropriately able to apply a mixture of methods of complex social science problems.

Funding suspension

The ESRC course covers tuition fees and tax -free living arrangement in line with the minimum Ukrainian rates (currently 20,780 pounds for 2025/26) and includes a research support support grant.
