Summary of the job:
When submitting reports to the head of archives and private groups, the digital archive specialist will develop and implement workflow tasks, according to the best archival practices, to take effective and description and manage a wide range of digital and digital records, including the content of the web page and integrate these records into the archive group management system and the digital asset management system to facilitate access. In the job it will:
- Maintaining modern knowledge of directions in archive management related to maintaining and accessing source materials and digitization, including descriptive data plans, digital media, and institutional warehouses where there is an archive content.
- Evaluating electronic records of permanent value and facilitating the transfer of permanent records from university units to archives.
- Developing and maintaining routine to acquire and access digital materials born to private groups, including e -mail, websites and other electronic records
- Forms the transfer of digital materials from a variety of current and heritage media formats such as tapes, filmmakers, flexible tablets, and CDs and implement mechanisms to ensure the health and preservation of these materials.
- Work with ASC president to create projects, development and management of work and workflow to address digital archive materials and suppliers; Create and manage the web content: including online exhibitions, oral history interviews, and digital collection gates.
- Communicate with librarians, faculty members and employees participating in digital research, education and initiatives related to digital projects.
- Communication with faculty members, employees, students and external researchers for archives and private groups on consulting and awareness activities to support scholarships and research that use archival, private and digital groups that the library maintains

Minimum qualifications:
- ALA approved master’s degree
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- The ability to balance multiple projects while working independently
Favorite qualifications:
- Experience with digitization projects and preserving digital materials.
- Experience in working with digital asset management, digital warehouses, digital exhibitions, and/or other digital libraries systems (such as Proservica, Conntdm, OMEKA).
- Knowing the following criteria: DACS, EAD, Dublin Core, Mets, Mods.
- Knowing the ArchivessPace content system.
- Infinter with Alma/Premo.
- Infinter with web archiving applications (for example coniferous, archive-IT).
- The experience of working with Legacy Media.
- Digital Archives Certificate (DAS) or continuous education courses in digital archives.
