We are seeking a post -doctoral researcher to join the cardiovascular department. The current publication is located within the activities of the recently established research excellence center (CORE) in advanced heart attacks. The center aims to develop the first treatments to stimulate the heart repair and its renewal in patients with heart failure, which is currently not effective treatments. React is a joint initiative for the King’s College London (Professor Mauro Jiaka), Oxford University (Professor Paul Riley, Professor Robin Chaudhry), and Edinburgh University (Professor Andrew Baker).

The topic of the research project in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Oxford University is the re -programming of immune cells as part of a larger program for developing new treatments (viral vector and/or exterior vesicles) to regenerate the heart muscle.

The project’s main objectives are to develop and spread genetic/new cell treatments to restore cell expressions for certain genes, at an appropriate time, location, and in the relevant cell type, with the intention of re -establishing an accurate environment that enhances the spread of the heart muscle and healthy renewal.

The successful candidate will serve Professor Robin Chaudhry (Cardiovascular Medicine, Oxford) and work closely with Professor Paul Riley (IDRM, Oxford) and Professor Mauro Jiaka (King College, London).

The successful candidate will play major roles in planning, managing, implementing and analyzing experiments, and ensuring these main products:

  • A generation of gene ** ** AAV vector;
  • Truvakin from the vesicles outside the cell derived from the blanket cells with ** the gene **-entertaining;
  • In delivery of the live body from the first vector and evaluation of expression/distribution;
  • In delivery of the live body from the first vector in the acute MI and evaluation of expression/distribution;
  • The response analysis is met at the level of the heart muscle (scar and cellular properties).

This is a full -time date for a fixed contract for two years. The post -pregnant center will be at the Human Genetics Center, Old Campus, Oxford.
