Researcher Assistant (fixed period) at Cambridge University
Research Assistant, Cambridge-GSK III Cooperation (CG-TIC) (A fixed term)
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic researcher assistant to work in one of the projects that contribute to the Cambridge-GSK immunity cooperation (CG-Ti). CG-TIC is a new immunity initiative for translation between Cambridge and GSK focusing on renal and respiratory diseases. It will benefit from the capabilities of Cambridge and GSK global, as it targets high medical need diseases, with the aim of achieving the impact of patients with the progress of the GSK pipeline and support for research in Cambridge. The partnership was built on three main topics, including the integration of the patient’s apparent pattern, the understanding of the disease mechanisms, and the progress in the treats of allegonocalotides.
The successful applicant will be part of the respiratory system mechanisms of the disease theme and will be involved in the research group of Professor James Nathan, based at the Cambridge Institute for therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Diseases on the Biomedical Cambridge Camp. You will also work closely with Professor Claire Bryant and her research set, and you will be part of CG-Tic, as it joins an increasing group of researchers who support this cooperation. This work will include a better understanding of the mechanisms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cell culture and liquid façade models. They will be familiar with cellular flow techniques and analyzes and have experience working in a guaranteed quality environment. Preparing to contribute to cooperation on a large scale with the industrial partner, including learning new working methods, will be the key to this role.
There is a possibility that the postal holder applies to doctoral studies at Cambridge University.
