About school / service

The Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Engineering (ACE) at the University of East London is home to a wide range of innovative courses that focus on industry, from Mechatronic Engineering and biomedical and electrical medical cars of civil, structural and mechanical engineering. With strong links with industry and professional accreditation, ACE provides students with the skills needed to flourish in advanced sectors quickly. Our research extends areas such as vital simulation materials, renewable energy techniques, robots and digital construction, where academics and students work together in projects that address global challenges and support sustainable sustainable contracts. About the job

We are looking for a technical partner (engineering – electrical, electronics and robots) to join our team at the University of East London. This is an exciting opportunity to support teaching, learning and research in our laboratories and specialized workshops. You will play a major role in preserving technical equipment and supporting students and employees, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

The basic expertise required

  • To support academic courses, student research and university employees at an average or advanced level of efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols in technical environments at an advanced level of efficiency.
  • Providing technical support in the first line of employees and students in the form, to name a few, teaching and demonstrations using laboratory spaces and equipment.
  • Cooperation with employees, students and training teams to understand technical requirements, provide technical expertise and support for courses, exhibitions and research.
  • Make supervision and supervision of regular maintenance, explore and repair errors and repair technical programs and technical equipment (such as energy supplies, volatility, and multiple training groups/panels) to ensure optimal performance and safety, including but not limited to patent testing for tools and equipment.
  • Perform regular stock checks, monitor supplies, and order the necessary equipment or components as needed.

About you

You must have:

  • Intermediate experiment in operating electrical/electronics, maintenance and repair devices; Electrical and measurement test; Electric cars, relevant fields.
  • Intermediate experience to work in a small team.
  • The intermediate ability to use a set of equipment/related applications for electricity/electronics engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of health and safety legislation and good practices applied to the technical group.
  • The experience of working in higher education or an educational environment.
