Media and Communications Assistant – European Union Agencies Network

EDA is looking for a media and communications assistant.

Under the supervision of the Information and Communications Unit, the employer will be responsible for/contributing to the following activities:

Events Organization

  • Planning, preparing and organizing internal and/or foreign events, such as conferences, for example, the annual EG conference, home workshops, press conferences, and group visits;
  • Work with project employees to provide advice and define and support the concept of the event; Including budget, planning and social media enhancement;
  • Communicate with contractors to prepare and deliver tasks related to the event, and the registration management management;
  • Supporting the implementation of events per day; Resource coordination on the site;
  • Path of communication materials for events; Keep history invitation and registration of the participants; Thank you messages
  • Eda events by monitoring participants’ satisfaction, and submitting a report on the lessons learned.

Internal communication

  • Support, implement, implement and monitor internal communication activities for EDA;
  • Organizing regular objective chat sessions, in partnership with colleagues from all other directorates and the human resources unit;
  • Content management and updating pages on Intera, as well as on public screens available at EDA headquarters;
  • Support with the agency’s brand development.

Public communication support

  • Support the head of the unit and/or communications officers with documents formulation and/or communication plans;
  • Maintaining and updating the relevant stakeholders ’databases, such as EDA distribution lists and the editorial evaluation of the unit;
  • Support with EDA update and external newsletters as required;
  • Communicating with the various EDA district and units, as well as with external contractors to plan and provide communication services, with a focus on audiovisual production and social media.

Administrative tasks

  • Write minutes or/reports on relevant meetings, and with relevant administrative documents;
  • It is a backup copy of the administrative tasks of the unit-such as logistical support, the preparation of tasks or the management of budget lines for “relationship/general information activities” and the demand for external service providers.

The job holder may take additional tasks as required in the service interest.

Duties may develop according to the development of EDA structure and activities, and EDA management decisions.
