Salary: 88,831.30 dollars annually

Summary of the job:

This position includes completing both routine and complicated Land use Planning and duties tasks with a focus on issues related to transportation and education in coordination with the agency’s partners. This individual facilitates and attends the meetings of the stakeholders and the external agency to download students, corridors studies, road expanding projects, safe ways for schools, improve intersection, school planning and similar projects. It represents the city in various meetings with community partners, especially the West Ada School District (WASD), ADA County Highway District (Achd), the Ministry of Transport in Idaho, ITD, Valley Regional Transit (VRT), and the Community Planning Association in the southwest of Idaho (Compass). It organizes and facilitates the regular meetings of the Meridian Transport Committee. Work includes coordination with WASD and Achd to understand, plan and mitigate the effects of the proposed development on schools and a transport network. The responsibilities of the situation include defending the solutions of transportation, education, and long -term planning needs for the city of Meridian.

Job specifications:

Bachelor’s degree in society or Regional planningTransport planning, engineering or relevant field in addition to at least two years of experience in community development, transportation, education planning, land use planning or a related field; Or an equivalent mix of experience, education and training that provides knowledge, skills and capabilities needed to perform the job;

Certificate of the American Institute for the required approved planners;
