Role

This role is crucial for the safe delivery of the modern network project, the goal is to provide a high -performance network for our global general. It is the largest individual investment that has ever converted into information technology infrastructure, and is scheduled to be completed in 2026 – the role has been funded until September 2026.

We are looking for a person who will use his passion, knowledge and experience to enhance and develop a healthy culture and positive safety through the modern network project, using their strong cooperative skills and stakeholders. You will be a committed and effective individual, with the ability to give priority to competing demands to make informed recommendations with the ability to implement effective recommendations. This will include monitoring and reporting against SLA and major performance indicators. It is necessary that they have a modern, relevant experience and excellent skills in dealing with others, and the approach of a trick, flexible, useful and practical.

What will you do?

The role holder will be responsible for:

  • Development and monitoring of a pre -emptive system to determine the H&S risks, and they agree on the priorities to work with project managers, including highlighting and reporting the remaining risks.
  • Determining and interpreting legislation, regulations and symbols of national practice, university safety policy, etc. Ensure that requirements/changes in project work practices. Provide advice on the effects of non -compliance, responding to any necessary changes and applying them.
  • The design and delivery of training materials on health and safety in UOB contractors, which covers a wide range of health and safety topics for both administrative and employment employees, to ensure that the training is appropriate and appropriate.
  • Review risk assessments, method data and other safety documents, as well as help apply permits for work.
  • The role holder will need to be able to influence the decisions of the main contractors and other stakeholders and work with the internal project teams to ensure risk relief.
  • Incitement or supervision of accident investigations by contractors, as well as analysis and interpretation of accident performance and other health and safety data
  • Developing and implementing the main performance indicators and mechanisms of reporting to prove university governance committees that the project leads to legal requirements and acceptable standards for industry regarding compliance
  • Development and implementation of the internal audit system and scheduling audits to include the suitability of contractor policies, risk assessments, safe work systems, local procedures, safety plans, safety management, the sufficiency of employee training and help in developing procedures plans for contractors.

The role holder will carry the following basic skills, expertise and technical expertise:

  • Cert / Diploma Centrema Nebosh, or an equivalent qualification as well as experience in a similar role (role).
  • Knowing a good job of CDM 2015
  • Training in the management of asbestos
  • Project management skills and expertise
  • Experience and interpretation of data, drafting complex reports, writing and submitting other surroundings to others.
  • People have proven and changed management skills to build and strengthen a positive safety culture.
  • Personal communication skills, excellent communications, the ability to engage and influence all levels
  • A widespread understanding of health, safety and other legislation and regulations related to property/buildings, and the effects of non -compliance.
  • Experience in the health and safety management in a large complex organization (such as higher education, facilities management, information technology or communications).
