Director of Education at the University of Aberdeen
Contract type: Fundamental
This post is located at the College of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN). Posttholder will be placed in the Polwart building on the Foresterhill Health campus. They will work closely with the director of education, registrar and head of the school to oversee all the administration related to undergraduate and graduate programs, including medicine and dentistry programs, BSC and PGT.
Postolder will be an integral part of the first team inside the school with a wide range of duties related to all activities related to education. It is a dynamic and interesting role that includes interaction with a wide range of people, internally and externally for the institution.
This is a great leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of the Education Department throughout the school. PostHolder will manage a team of professional service employees and ensure the smooth operation of all programs, including MBCHB. It will also lead to quality guarantee, accreditation, curriculum development and international partnerships.
The successful candidate will be taught to the level of certificate and has extensive experience in the Department of Higher Education, especially in medical education. They will have a comprehensive knowledge of the sector and experience in managing systems, procedures and complex teams. The vulgar ability to think strategically and contribute to both operating and strategic planning is necessary.
They must show analytical capabilities, high -level problem solving, excellent personal relationship skills, influence, and commitment to achieving high standards. It is important to be familiar with NHS procedures and national health sector issues, as well as the ability to link the medical and educational aspects of programs such as MBCHB.
Strong information technology skills, accuracy, attention to details, experience in reviewing operations and improving businesses are required. The candidate should be very organized but flexible, able to adapt to change and unexpected challenges, and is able to deal with sensitive and confidential issues with professionalism.
